Things to bring/do:
-Your valid passport
-Food & drink for the bus journey
-Camera + batteries + chargers
-Cell phones + chargers (put your classmates cell nrs. on your phone if you haven't done so already & don't forget +31 country code)
-Things to occupy yourself with on the bus:
i-pods/mp3 players
books, magazines
sketchbook & sketch materials
cards or other portable games
movies on DVD to share, all buses have DVD players,
please put your names on them!
-Personal medicines
-Comfortable shoes because there will be a lot of walking
-Student card for reduced entrance fees
-A small pillow & blanket for the bus helps make it more comfortable
-Carry some health insurance info with you
-Arrange travel insurance if you plan to bring along expensive equipment (like cameras and laptops)
-Photocopy your important documents (passport, bank pass, insurance card), leave one copy at home or with a trusted person & bring one copy with you!
-You can bring your own towel or rent one at the hostel for 1 euro
-Label your luggage with your name and group
Do a bit of research beforehand of places you might like to visit on your own. You might want either buy or borrow a travel book from the
library.
Breakfast every morning and one dinner with the whole basisjaar is included in your excursion fee. Your class group will also get a limited budget for another dinner together along with the teachers in your group. You need to bring enough money to cover your lunch and other dinners. We will be distributing 7 day public transportation cards as well as 3 day museum cards to everyone.
A more detailed program will be distributed to you in the bus.
